Cafe RED's site is the Boerum Hill neighborhood, which used to be a Manhattan suburb in the 1800s where families enjoyed small-town living in the emerging city's shade. Since the 1970s, the community has revitalized townhouses and new restaurants as a desirable and fashionable Brooklyn area.
