2020 | 6201 N Front St #124 Philadelphia
The third H-mart in Philadelphia opened in September 2020. The interior space focused on serving a pleasant and modern consuming experience. H Mart, the US's primary Asian market, is famous for a broad span of fun Asian products, various types of fresh produce, and especially excellent seafood quality. Based on these merits, the design tends to bring an energetic alive environment rather than a static, artificial mall.

Based on 20 years of tradition, H mart believes counter-clockwise circulation creates the most effective shopping experience. Customers start with the fresh produce area that smoothly transits to the grocery section. They will pass the bodega for living stuff at the corner and meet the butcher shop's new meat section. And as the finale, the fresh fish section, H-mart's most vital asset, is waiting for the customers. In the center, aligned gondolas are containing categorized all kinds of stuff. At the end of the sequence, there is a road of tenants' booth series where people can meet different merchandise. Now, people can either choose to check out or enjoy diverse Asian food at the food court.
The market design needs smartness to guide people to grab what they want quickly and promote sales and advertisements. Various sections represent apparent differences and uniqueness. Dark-colored reclaimed wood soffits make harmony with thematic graphics to emphasize many fresh meat types and fit into rustic butcher shop images. Grocery sections tend to be clean, oriental sense with delicate pictures on white bricks. The seafood section is designed with ribbed metal and glossy white tiles for a bright, refreshing mood, reminding the stand market by the sea in Asian countries.
