Design concept + Model Study
This residential project is the share house for two families with young kids in New York City. Like most New Yorkers, clients are very literate and workaholic parents with lovely kids. These two families' house designs got inspired by soft, warm, and flexible curvedness with light. Peaceful moments in warm daylight translate into curved form as the shell of all common areas. The window followed a waving wall covering all rooms and presented warm light through soft materials. This intimate environment will be the perfect comfortable cocoon needed to fulfill with unique, colorful personalities.

Contrasting to neutralized common space, bedrooms' design reflects the particular characteristics of the client. This master bedroom is for a media artist, and chef couple touched on respecting their creativity and playfulness.
The kitchen and 3rd floor are an essential place for socializing space to create their fun family culture. Rotatable music boxes can take benefits both from the terrace and mini library.
Reflected light coming from the wall is the most humane of all light. Since light travels in straight lines, the reflections from the walls come back to you as an individual, putting you in direct contact with the walls themselves. It is as if the walls are caressing you with their light. This explains the humanism of reflected light. - Paul Rudolph
